If there was ever a person who was overdue for a Live At Home it's Ryan Durkin. Can't blame the man since he's been super busy working with Black El on their recent self release as well as some new Banana Seat tracks (stay tuned for the later). Durk and Black El recently curated a night at the Good Life where they did a few live numbers and played some good rap jams and Durk recorded his DJ set. I like how he plays old and new and weird stuff but doesn't go too far out in any one direction and keeps a tight set. A great listen if you're just not ready to get on this Kanye bandwagon. From Durkin himself (Soundcloud link below):
DJ set recorded 100% LIVE at Good Life in Boston, MA. I was playing upstairs during the BASSIC dubstep party, so I went kinda left field and decided to play a bunch of new music that is influencing me these days. New school raps, wonky instrumentals, future beats and a little boom bap. Cheers.
