For some reason we never blog about our parties when they're happening. I used to think it's cuz we're all so "humble" but it's really cuz we're just goddamn lazy! Last night was the two year anniversary of Shake Em Down. Here's my best attempt at lastnightsparty only not porn and pics of people I know. More here. Also had to give props to the amazing flyer from Sober!
And TONIGHT! The last edition of the one and only Do It Again featuring the Do It Again crew and perhaps some ghosts of Do It Again's past...
My good friend Alf, whom I used to spend many-a-days turntabling and scratching along side of, finished his first album... which is being released on the label, Hip Hop Slam! He's one of the most solid dudes I know and I'm pretty proud of all the effort he's put into his music. The album is available via his website labinsomnia.com and soon through hiphopslam.com. In roughly 4-6 weeks from now, it will also be available on Itunes.
You can often find him on Billy Jam's Put The Needle On The Record radio show at WFMU. Below is a video of him live on the air, rocking the Controller 1 turntable. There are only a handful of people who have these bad boys and he's one.
Here is a new Disco edit from yours truly. There have been plenty in the works, but this one kind of jumped out at me this week in New York. I hope this works for you and your Serato crates.
